The Canada Arab Congress on Middle East and North Africa Relations (CACMR) participated in the 5th edition of the Middle East Strategy Forum (MESF), co-hosted by the Institute for Peace & Diplomacy and the Amersi Foundation in Ottawa.
As Canada’s most internationally recognized conference on the Middle East, MESF 2025 brought together a globally diverse group of heads of state, ministers, ambassadors, senior officials, policy experts, business leaders, scholars, and journalists to engage in forward-looking dialogue on peace, security, and development in the region.
For the first time, the Forum combined public sessions with private dialogues under the Chatham House Rule, creating a dynamic space for both open visibility and candid high-level discussions on sensitive issues.
This year’s theme, “Reordering the Middle East by Force”, provided a platform to critically examine pressing geopolitical flashpoints—including the Israel–Iran war, the ongoing Gaza crisis, and the post-Assad transition in Syria—within the context of rapidly shifting regional dynamics.
CACMR was proud to contribute to these important conversations, reinforcing its commitment to fostering peace, stability, and constructive engagement between Canada and the MENA region.
We thank the organizers for hosting such a timely and impactful forum and look forward to continuing the dialogue with international partners.
شارك الكونجرس الكندي العربي لعلاقات الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في النسخة الخامسة من منتدى استراتيجية الشرق الأوسط، الذي استضافته مؤسسة أميرسي في أوتاوا بالتعاون مع معهد السلام والدبلوماسية.
بصفته الكونجرس الكندي الأكثر شهرةً دوليًا حول الشرق الأوسط، جمع منتدى الشرق الأوسط 2025 نخبةً عالميةً متنوعةً من رؤساء الدول والوزراء والسفراء وكبار المسؤولين وخبراء السياسات وقادة الأعمال والباحثين والصحفيين للمشاركة في حوارٍ استشرافي حول السلام والأمن والتنمية في المنطقة.
ولأول مرة، جمع المنتدى جلساتٍ عامةً مع حواراتٍ خاصةٍ بموجب قاعدة تشاتام هاوس، مما أتاح مساحةً ديناميكيةً للرؤية المفتوحة والمناقشات الصريحة رفيعة المستوى حول قضايا حساسة.
وكان موضوع هذا العام، “إعادة ترتيب الشرق الأوسط بالقوة”، بمثابة منصةٍ لتحليلٍ نقديٍّ لنقاط التوتر الجيوسياسية المُلحة – بما في ذلك الحرب الإسرائيلية الإيرانية، وأزمة غزة المستمرة، ومرحلة ما بعد الأسد في سوريا – في سياق الديناميكيات الإقليمية المتغيرة بسرعة.
الكونجرس الكندي العربي لعلاقات الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا فخورًا بالمساهمة في هذه المحادثات المهمة، مؤكدًا التزامه بتعزيز السلام والاستقرار والتواصل البنّاء بين كندا ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.

Le Congrès canado-arabe sur les relations au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique du Nord (CCMA) a participé à la 5e édition du Forum stratégique pour le Moyen-Orient (FSM), coorganisé par l’Institut pour la paix et la diplomatie et la Fondation Amersi à Ottawa.
Conférence canadienne la plus reconnue sur le Moyen-Orient à l’échelle internationale, le FSM 2025 a réuni un groupe international diversifié de chefs d’État, de ministres, d’ambassadeurs, de hauts fonctionnaires, d’experts en politiques publiques, de chefs d’entreprise, d’universitaires et de journalistes afin d’engager un dialogue prospectif sur la paix, la sécurité et le développement dans la région.
Pour la première fois, le Forum a combiné des séances publiques et des dialogues privés sous la règle de Chatham House, créant ainsi un espace dynamique favorisant la transparence et des discussions franches de haut niveau sur des questions sensibles.
Le thème de cette année, « Remodeler le Moyen-Orient par la force », a permis d’examiner de manière critique les points chauds géopolitiques les plus pressants – notamment la guerre israélo-iranienne, la crise persistante à Gaza et la transition post-Assad en Syrie – dans le contexte d’une dynamique régionale en pleine mutation.
Le CACMR est fier d’avoir contribué à ces échanges importants, réaffirmant ainsi son engagement à promouvoir la paix, la stabilité et un dialogue constructif entre le Canada et la région MENA.
