The Canada Arab Congress on Middle East and North Africa Relations (CACMR) is pleased to highlight the participation of its President at the prestigious France-Canada Chamber of Commerce Gala Awards, held on March 12, 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto.
The evening brought together distinguished leaders from government, business, and civil society to celebrate excellence in advancing Franco-Canadian relations and international collaboration.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “Partner of the Year” Award to Caroline Codsi, Founder of Women in Governance, in recognition of her organization’s outstanding contributions to promoting equitable leadership and strengthening partnerships across sectors. The award reflects the collective dedication of her team and their continued efforts to expand their impact internationally, including the recent launch of the Parity Certification™️ in France.
The CACMR President had the distinct honour of engaging with several prominent dignitaries throughout the evening, including His Excellency Michel Miraillet, Ambassador of France to Canada, and the Honourable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario. These interactions underscored the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation between Canada, France, and the broader MENA region.
The event also provided an opportunity to connect with Her Excellency Nathalie G. Drouin, Canada’s Ambassador to France and Monaco, as well as the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, whose leadership and advocacy continue to inspire across Canada.
Special recognition was also extended to Riva Walia, Founding Managing Director of the Chamber, and Sanjay Tugnait, Founding President of the Chamber and President & CEO of Fairfax Digital Services, for their visionary leadership in fostering a dynamic and impactful Franco-Canadian business community.
The CACMR commends all award recipients, including Robert Trudeau of Air Canada, for their achievements and contributions to strengthening economic and strategic partnerships.
Special thanks to our great friend Caroline Codsi for the warm hospitality and invitation. Events such as this serve as a powerful reminder of the value of collaboration between business leaders, governments, and civil society in advancing shared goals and building stronger international relationships.
CACMR remains committed to supporting initiatives that foster dialogue, innovation, and cooperation between Canada, the MENA region, and global partners.
