The Canada Arab Congress on Middle East and North Africa Relations (CACMR) welcomes the continued strengthening of Canada–Kuwait relations following a meeting between the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, and H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, during his visit to Ottawa.
The ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Defence and Security Cooperation, marking an important step in expanding bilateral cooperation between Canada and Kuwait.
Their discussions also focused on opportunities to deepen cooperation in areas of shared interest, including regional and international affairs, trade and investment, security, regional stability, and maritime security.
CACMR recognizes the importance of continued diplomatic engagement between Canada and Kuwait and the broader Gulf region. Strong bilateral relationships contribute to greater opportunities for economic cooperation, investment, security dialogue, and people-to-people connections between Canada and the Middle East.
As an organization dedicated to strengthening relations between Canada and the Middle East and North Africa, CACMR welcomes initiatives that advance constructive dialogue and cooperation between Canadian and regional partners.
Canada and Kuwait’s continued engagement reflects the importance of building stronger partnerships across the Gulf and advancing shared priorities through dialogue and cooperation.

يرحب الكونجرس الكندي العربي لعلاقات الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا (CACMR) باستمرار تعزيز العلاقات بين كندا والكويت، عقب الاجتماع الذي عقدته معالي وزيرة الخارجية الكندية أنيتا أناند مع معالي الشيخ جراح جابر الأحمد الصباح، وزير خارجية دولة الكويت، خلال زيارته إلى أوتاوا.
ووقّع الوزيران مذكرة تفاهم بشأن التعاون في مجال الدفاع والأمن، في خطوة مهمة نحو توسيع نطاق التعاون الثنائي بين كندا والكويت.
كما تناولت مباحثاتهما فرص تعزيز التعاون في عدد من المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما في ذلك القضايا الإقليمية والدولية، والتجارة والاستثمار، والأمن، والاستقرار الإقليمي، والأمن البحري.
ويؤكد CACMR أهمية استمرار التواصل الدبلوماسي بين كندا والكويت وتعزيز الشراكات بين كندا ودول منطقة الخليج. وتسهم العلاقات الثنائية القوية في توفير المزيد من فرص التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثماري، والحوار في المجال الأمني، وتعزيز الروابط بين الشعوب في كندا والشرق الأوسط.
وبصفته منظمة ملتزمة بتعزيز العلاقات بين كندا والشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، يرحب CACMR بالمبادرات التي تدعم الحوار البنّاء والتعاون بين كندا وشركائها في المنطقة.
