The Canada Arab Congress on Middle East and North Africa Relations (CACMR) was honoured to be represented at a distinguished diplomatic event hosted by the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
On Saturday, November 1st, 2025, members of the CACMR Board had the privilege of attending a special reception held on the occasion of the Inauguration Ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the most significant cultural landmarks in the world.
The reception was graciously hosted by His Excellency Ahmed Hafez, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, who invited Mr. Abdullatif Al-Shaikh, President of CACMR, along with members of the Board, to commemorate this historic milestone.
From 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, attendees joined diplomatic representatives, cultural leaders, and community partners to celebrate Egypt’s remarkable achievement in preserving and presenting its rich heritage. The Grand Egyptian Museum—one of the largest archaeological museums globally—stands as a testament to Egypt’s enduring contribution to human civilization.
CACMR’s participation in this event reflects the organization’s continued commitment to strengthening cultural and diplomatic ties between Canada and the Arab world, fostering collaboration, and supporting initiatives that highlight the region’s historical and cultural significance.

في يوم السبت، الموافق 1 نوفمبر 2025، حظي أعضاء مجلس إدارة الكونجرس الكندي العربي لعلاقات الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا بشرف حضور حفل استقبال خاص أقيم بمناسبة افتتاح المتحف المصري الكبير، أحد أهم المعالم الثقافية في العالم.
استضاف الحفل بحفاوة بالغة سعادة السفير أحمد حافظ، سفير جمهورية مصر العربية، الذي دعا السيد عبد اللطيف الشيخ، رئيس الكونجرس، وأعضاء المجلس، للاحتفال بهذه المناسبة التاريخية.
من الساعة 12:30 ظهرًا حتى الساعة 3:00 عصرًا، انضم الحضور إلى الممثلين الدبلوماسيين والقيادات الثقافية وشركاء المجتمع للاحتفال بالإنجاز المتميز لمصر في الحفاظ على تراثها الغني وعرضه. يُعد المتحف المصري الكبير، أحد أكبر المتاحف الأثرية في العالم، شاهدًا على إسهامات مصر الخالدة في الحضارة الإنسانية.
تعكس مشاركة مركز كندا للأبحاث والدراسات العربية في هذا الحدث التزامه المتواصل بتعزيز العلاقات الثقافية والدبلوماسية بين كندا والعالم العربي، وتعزيز التعاون، ودعم المبادرات التي تُبرز الأهمية التاريخية والثقافية للمنطقة.
Le Congrès canado-arabe sur les relations au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique du Nord (CCRAM) a eu l’honneur d’être représenté lors d’un événement diplomatique prestigieux organisé par l’ambassade de la République arabe d’Égypte.
Le samedi 1er novembre 2025, les membres du conseil d’administration du CCRAM ont eu le privilège d’assister à une réception spéciale donnée à l’occasion de l’inauguration du Grand Musée égyptien, l’un des sites culturels les plus importants au monde.
Cette réception était gracieusement organisée par Son Excellence Ahmed Hafez, ambassadeur de la République arabe d’Égypte, qui avait invité M. Abdullatif Al-Shaikh, président du CCRAM, ainsi que les membres du conseil d’administration, à commémorer cet événement historique.
De 12 h 30 à 15 h, les participants se sont joints aux représentants diplomatiques, aux personnalités du monde culturel et aux partenaires communautaires pour célébrer la remarquable réussite de l’Égypte en matière de préservation et de mise en valeur de son riche patrimoine. Le Grand Musée égyptien, l’un des plus grands musées archéologiques au monde, témoigne de la contribution durable de l’Égypte à la civilisation humaine.
La participation du CACMR à cet événement témoigne de l’engagement continu de l’organisation à renforcer les liens culturels et diplomatiques entre le Canada et le monde arabe, à favoriser la collaboration et à soutenir les initiatives qui mettent en valeur l’importance historique et culturelle de la région.
