On January 9, 2025, Mr. Abdullatif Al-Shaikh, President and Founder of the Canada Arab Congress on Middle East and North Africa Relations (CACMR) and Director of Government Relations on the Board of Directors of the Canada Arab Business Council (CABC), held a productive meeting with His Excellency Mr. Lassaad Boutara, Ambassador of Tunisia to Canada.
The discussion centered on the prospects for strengthening investment ties and developing partnerships with CACMR and CABC, with a focus on high value-added sectors such as technical textiles, information technology and agribusiness. Both sides emphasized the importance of encouraging innovation-driven initiatives and creating platforms for Canadian and Tunisian businesses to collaborate more closely in ways that benefit both economies.
This meeting also reaffirmed the close working relationship between the Canada Arab Congress on Middle East and North Africa Relations (CACMR) and the Embassy of Tunisia under the leadership of His Excellency Ambassador Boutara. Le 9 janvier 2025, M. Abdullatif Al-Shaikh, président et fondateur du Congrès canado-arabe sur les relations avec le Moyen-Orient et l’Afrique du Nord (CACMR) et directeur des relations gouvernementales au sein du conseil d’administration du Conseil commercial canado-arabe (CCAA), a tenu une réunion fructueuse avec Son Excellence M. Lassaad Boutara, ambassadeur de Tunisie au Canada.
Les discussions ont porté sur les perspectives de renforcement des liens d’investissement et de développement de partenariats avec le CACMR et le CCAA, en particulier dans les secteurs à forte valeur ajoutée tels que les textiles techniques, les technologies de l’information et l’agroalimentaire.
